Somehow with the push to sell season tickets, I think the Kings will
not only lose a lot of games, but also the sellout run they have had.
I don't see anyone buying that many unsold tickets just to keep the
record going. They said the opener would be in a new court. Maybe
they took out a bunch of seats, so it won't look as empty.

Then it would not be a "true" sellout.Just wonder if they do,how many games
will they do it for.I can them doing it then moaning about losing money.Just
another 'reason to leave town' on their list.

While Sacramento has been real good to the kings, I know the previous
owners (or groups close to the owners) have purchased tickets.
Sometimes when they see that they have large quantities they can do
some promos with local businesses (NEC, HP, government, etc) and "give
away" the tickets. Also sometimes they do this to encourage
advertising. While the tickets are not sold they are out to the public
and can be considered a sellout. If there are just a few hundred
tickets left the Maloofs could just buy them. I think it would be cool
for them to buy up the tickets just before game time and send a bus
down to a Boys and Girls club or a Battered Womens Shelter or
something. Of course, they would only do that if they actaully cared
about Sacramento...
